DAY ONE| MONDAY JUNE 7

WELCOME TO MOROCCO

Arrive at Mohammed V International Airport or Rabat-Salé Airport and transfer to the hotel

Upon arrival at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca or Rabat-Salé Airport, make your way independently to the hotel. We are happy to assist with recommendations for taxis and transportation. The drive from Casablanca to Rabat is approximately 90 minutes, while Rabat-Salé Airport is just a short 25-minute transfer from the hotel. We recommend arranging a taxi through the hotel in advance to secure a fixed rate.

Guests will be arriving throughout the day. Should you arrive early, we would be happy to suggest nearby sights, cafés, museums, or other ways to begin experiencing the relaxed rhythm and charm of Rabat before we gather together for our Welcome Reception and Dinner.

Take time to settle in, relax, and ease into the journey ahead as we begin our exploration of Morocco's rich history, diverse cultures, and enduring traditions.

Arrive at the hotel and Check In

Your two-night stay at the beautiful Hotel Villa Mandarine, nestled in Morocco's elegant capital city of Rabat, awaits. Located in the upscale Agdal neighborhood, our home for the next two nights is just minutes from many of the city's most treasured historic landmarks.

Settle into a peaceful oasis surrounded by three acres of lush gardens, sculptures, and more than 700 fragrant orange trees. After your journey, perhaps enjoy a refreshing swim in the pool, a quiet stroll through the grounds, a visit to the hammam (spa), or simply relax with a cocktail in the lounge. The hotel also offers an exercise room for those wishing to stretch their legs after a day of travel.

Guest rooms are available beginning at 3:00 PM. If you arrive earlier, we will do our best to secure your room as soon as possible.

7:00 PM ~ Welcome Cocktails & Group Orientation

This evening, gather with your fellow travelers and Worlds Converge staff for a welcome refreshment and orientation. Your tour director will introduce the journey ahead and provide an overview of the experiences, people, and places we will encounter together.

At Worlds Converge, we believe that meaningful travel begins with curiosity. Asking questions, embracing new perspectives, and engaging deeply with the stories and traditions of others transforms a trip into a shared experience of discovery and understanding.

As we begin our time together, you will soon hear the many voices of Morocco. Arabic, Darija (Moroccan Arabic), French, Spanish, Amazigh languages, and English all contribute to the country's remarkable cultural tapestry—a reflection of the diverse influences that have shaped Morocco for centuries.

8:00 PM ~ Welcome Dinner

This evening, we gather for our first meal together. Included beverages include one glass of wine, beer, or juice, along with mineral water, tea, or coffee.

After dinner, enjoy the peaceful gardens and fragrant orange trees that make Villa Mandarine such a special retreat. The remainder of the evening is yours to relax and settle into the rhythm of Morocco.

DAY 2: | TUESDAY JUNE 8

RABAT

Wake up to a delightful hotel buffet breakfast from 7:00 AM, featuring a variety of classic options such as seasonal fruit, freshly baked pastries, eggs served in a variety of styles, coffee, tea, and juice.

9:00 am ~ City tour of Rabat: bus and walking

Join a guided tour by bus and on foot. We’ll visit iconic landmarks such as the Bab Rouah, the city's "Gate of the Winds," built in the 12th century, and then to the Royal Palace, home of the current king of Morocco, Mohammad VI. Then we’ll view the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, which houses the tombs of King Mohammed V and his two sons, King Hassan II and Prince Abdallah. Finally, a walking tour of the Kasbah des Oudayas and the old Medina, where you will see classic Moroccan architecture and tilework.

12:30 pm ~ Lunch at a local restaurant

Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, known for its Moroccan and Mediterranean cuisine. Enjoy several choices from a pre-set menu. Finish with a lovely pastry dessert before we venture to our afternoon destination: Chellah.

2:30 pm ~ Visit to Chellah

After lunch, the group will tour the archaeological UNESCO World Heritage Site of Chellah. Perched on the edge of Rabat overlooking the Bou Regreg River, it was once a thriving Roman city called Sala Colonia before becoming a royal Merenid necropolis in the 13th century. Wandering its sunlit pathways, we will encounter ornate carved doorways, a tranquil sacred pool shimmering with eels, and the gentle sound of storks echoing through the ruin. Chellah embodies the living testimony of Morocco's history and the evolution of its civilization. When we enter the site, we are walking through the same gateway that welcomed medieval pilgrims. 4:00 PM ~ Afternoon at Leisure & Dinner on Your Own

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon at your own pace as you continue to discover the charms of Rabat. Wander through the medina, visit one of the city’s fascinating museums, browse local shops, or simply unwind by the pool. If you wish, indulge in a spa treatment or massage, or let us recommend some of our favorite hidden gems and local experiences.

We are always happy to provide restaurant recommendations, giving you the freedom to choose from Rabat’s many excellent restaurants and cafés or simply enjoy a quiet evening of relaxation.

DAY 3: I WEDNESDAY JUNE 9

MEKNES

Breakfast at Our Hotel

Begin your day with a leisurely breakfast at our hotel, served from 7:00 AM. Enjoy a generous buffet featuring seasonal fruits, freshly baked breads and pastries, eggs prepared in a variety of styles, and other morning favorites, accompanied by coffee, tea, and fresh juices.

As with every day of our journey, breakfast is an opportunity to relax, connect with fellow travelers, and prepare for the experiences and conversations that await as we continue exploring the rich cultures, traditions, and landscapes of Morocco.

8:00 AM ~ Travel to Fez with a Stop in Meknes

After breakfast, we’ll bid farewell to Rabat and set out on a scenic drive toward Fez, Morocco’s spiritual and cultural heart. Along the way, we will stop in the imperial city of Meknes, approximately two hours from Rabat, to explore one of Morocco’s four historic royal capitals before continuing on to Fez later in the day.

10:30 AM ~ Guided Tour of Meknes

Our first introduction to one of Morocco’s four Imperial Cities begins in Meknes, the former capital established by Sultan Moulay Ismail in the 17th century. Accompanied by our guide, we will explore the city by both bus and on foot while learning about its rich history and significance within Morocco.

Among the highlights of our visit are the magnificent Bab Mansour Gate, widely regarded as one of the finest and most beautiful gateways in North Africa, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, one of the few religious sites in Morocco open to non-Muslim visitors. Located adjacent to Place El Hedim in the heart of the old city, Bab Mansour is renowned for its exquisite zellige tilework and intricate craftsmanship.

Throughout our journey, we will encounter the artistry of Morocco’s master craftsmen, and this first glimpse of traditional zellige mosaics offers an introduction to an art form that has adorned Moroccan architecture for centuries.

Bab Mansour Gate & Mausoleum

11:45 AM ~ Visit Volubilis

We continue to Volubilis, Morocco’s best-preserved Roman archaeological site and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Accompanied by a local guide, we will explore the remarkably preserved ruins while learning about the history and cultural influences that shaped this once-thriving Roman outpost.

Stroll among ancient mosaics, columns, and remnants of daily life as our guide provides historical background and context, bringing the site to life. There will also be an opportunity to purchase a light snack before we depart at 1:00 PM for a traditional lunch at a local women’s cooperative.

2:00 PM ~ Lunch at a Women's Association

Enjoy a traditional lunch and visit with a local Women's Association, where community members are creating opportunities through education, entrepreneurship, and social initiatives. Over a meal featuring freshly prepared regional dishes, we will learn about the evolving role of women in Moroccan society and the efforts being made to foster economic empowerment and greater access to opportunity.

The President of the Association will share insights into Morocco's women's empowerment movement and the work being done at the local level. More than a meal, this experience offers an opportunity for meaningful exchange and a deeper understanding of contemporary Moroccan life.

3:30 PM ~ Travel to Fez

After lunch, we continue to Fez, approximately 90 minutes from Meknes. Along the way, enjoy the scenery as we make our way to Morocco's oldest Imperial City and one of the country's great centers of history, culture, and learning.

5:00 PM ~ Check In to the Riad

Our home in Fez is the beautiful Riad Salam, a lovingly restored historic palace located in the heart of the ancient medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Showcasing the finest traditions of Moroccan craftsmanship, the riad features elegant courtyards, soothing fountains, intricate zellige mosaics, carved stucco, and marble details that reflect centuries of artistic heritage.

Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome drink as you settle into your surroundings. A member of the riad staff will then provide a brief introduction to the history and architecture of the property, offering insight into the evolution of the traditional Moroccan riad and the decorative arts that have made these residences such enduring symbols of Moroccan culture.

The remainder of the evening is yours to enjoy at your own pace. You may choose to attend an optional dinner show in a traditional riad in the medina, venture out to discover one of Fez's many restaurants, indulge in a relaxing hammam treatment, or simply unwind at the riad. We are always happy to provide recommendations for dining and evening activities.

DAY 4: | THURSDAY JUNE 10

FEZ

7:00 am Breakfast at the Riad

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the riad before we set out to explore Fez, one of Morocco's great centers of history, culture, and learning. Breakfast is served beginning at 7:00 AM, providing plenty of time to relax and prepare for a full day of discovery.

8:00 AM ~ Bus and Walking Tour of Fez

This morning, we begin our exploration of Fez with a drive to the Royal Palace (Dar al-Makhzen) for an exterior visit and photo stop at its magnificent golden gates. We then continue on foot through the historic Mellah (Jewish Quarter), where we will learn about the rich history and enduring legacy of the Jewish community in Fez.

Our visit includes the Jewish Cemetery and synagogue, offering insight into the diverse religious and cultural traditions that have shaped the city for centuries. Throughout the morning, our guide will provide historical context and stories that bring the many layers of Fez to life.

10:30 AM ~ Borj Janoubi

Following our walking tour, we travel by bus to Borj Janoubi (Borj Sud), a 16th-century Saadian fortress perched on a hill overlooking Fez el Bali. Built during the reign of Sultan Ahmed al-Mansur, the fortress was designed to help protect the city and today offers one of the most spectacular panoramic views of the ancient medina.

From this vantage point, we can appreciate the scale and beauty of Fez, gaining a unique perspective on one of the world's largest and oldest continuously inhabited medieval cities.

11:15 AM ~ Workshop at a Traditional Tile Factory & Conversation with a Master Zellige Artisan

We continue by bus to a traditional tile workshop, where we will be introduced to the centuries-old art of Moroccan zellige. At Art Naji, one of Fez's most renowned ateliers, we will witness the remarkable skill and precision required to create these intricate mosaics by hand.

A master artisan will guide us through the history, symbolism, and techniques of this distinctive art form, offering insight into the patterns and craftsmanship that have adorned Moroccan palaces, mosques, and homes for generations. Guests will have an opportunity to observe artisans at work and, if desired, purchase authentic handcrafted tiles and other pieces.

This special visit offers a deeper appreciation for one of Morocco's most celebrated artistic traditions and the master craftsmen who continue to preserve it today.

12:30 PM ~ Walking Tour of the Medina & Chouara Tannery

Following our visit to the tile workshop, we return to the heart of Fez for a walking tour through the ancient medina, one of the world's largest car-free urban centers and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As we make our way through the winding streets and lively souks, our guide will provide historical context and insight into the many communities and traditions that have shaped the city over the centuries.

Highlights of our walk include the R'Cif district, Seffarine Square with its coppersmiths, the exterior of the Al-Karaouine Mosque and University, the Attarine Madrasa, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss II (exterior view).

We will also visit the famous Chouara Tannery, which has been in operation for nearly a thousand years. Here, leather is still processed and dyed using traditional methods and natural pigments, offering a fascinating glimpse into one of Fez's oldest crafts. While the distinctive aroma is part of the experience, the vibrant colors and centuries-old techniques make this one of the city's most memorable sights.

1:30 PM ~ Lunch

Pause for a leisurely lunch and enjoy the distinctive flavors of Fez, long regarded as one of Morocco's culinary capitals. This is a wonderful opportunity to relax, reflect on the morning's discoveries, and savor the rich traditions of Fassi cuisine.

2:45 PM ~ Medina Walking Tour Continued

After lunch, we continue our exploration of Fez's ancient medina, wandering through its bustling souks and artisan quarters. Along the way, we will gain further insight into the traditional crafts, trades, and daily rhythms that have shaped life in Fez for centuries.

Our afternoon concludes with a visit to a local textile cooperative, where we will learn about traditional weaving techniques and textile production in Morocco.

5:00 PM ~ Return to the Riad & Evening at Leisure

Return to the riad and enjoy a relaxed evening at your own pace. The remainder of the afternoon and dinner are yours to enjoy, and we are happy to provide recommendations for additional sites, cafés, or dining experiences.

For those wishing to unwind after a full day of exploration, we recommend experiencing a traditional Moroccan hammam. This centuries-old ritual combines steam, black soap (savon noir), and exfoliation with a kessa glove, leaving you refreshed, rejuvenated, and with a deeper appreciation for an important aspect of Moroccan wellness and daily life.

DAY 5: | FRIDAY JUNE 11

TRAVEL DAY TO ERFOUD

Breakfast at the Riad & Check Out

Enjoy breakfast at the riad beginning at 6:30 AM before we bid farewell to Fez and set out on one of Morocco's most scenic journeys. After checking out, we will depart by coach for a full day of travel to Erfoud, passing through changing landscapes that reveal the remarkable geographic diversity of the country. We will make several rest stops throughout the day, allowing plenty of opportunities to stretch, enjoy refreshments, and experience the changing landscapes.

8:45 AM ~ Drive to Erfoud

After breakfast, we depart Fez and begin our journey south toward Erfoud, traveling through the Middle Atlas Mountains and some of Morocco's most varied landscapes. Today's drive is approximately seven hours, with several stops along the way to stretch our legs and experience the changing scenery and architectural influences that distinguish this region.

Our first stop is the charming mountain town of Ifrane, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine-style architecture and cool climate. We will then continue toward the cedar forests near Azrou, where we may encounter the Barbary macaque, the only wild primate native to North Africa. These endangered monkeys inhabit the cedar and oak forests of the Atlas Mountains and face ongoing threats from habitat loss and illegal wildlife trafficking.

Throughout the day, we will pause for rest breaks and enjoy the gradual transition from the lush landscapes of the Middle Atlas to the desert gateway region of southeastern Morocco.

12:00 PM ~ Lunch on Your Own

We will pause along the way for lunch. To ensure a smooth experience, menu selections will be provided in advance so that your meal will be ready upon arrival.

After lunch, sit back and enjoy the journey as we continue south through an ever-changing landscape of mountains, river valleys, dramatic canyons, and lush oases. We will resume our journey to Erfoud at approximately 1:00 PM.

5:00 PM ~ Check in to the Hotel

Upon arrival in Erfoud, the gateway to the Sahara, we will check into Hotel Xaluca Maadid, a distinctive retreat inspired by the traditional architecture of southern Morocco. Constructed from adobe and surrounded by palms and desert landscapes, the hotel combines authentic design with modern comforts and spacious accommodations.

After settling in, take time to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Perhaps unwind by the pool, savor a drink at the bar, or make your way to the rooftop terrace to watch the changing colors of the desert landscape as the sun begins to set.

After checking out of the hotel, we set out for the Sahara Desert, where a new chapter of our journey awaits. As the landscapes gradually transform, we make our way toward one of Morocco's most iconic and awe-inspiring regions.

Our journey continues into the Ziz Valley, where we will visit the oasis community of Aoufous. Accompanied by a local guide, we will enjoy a leisurely walk through the palm groves and learn about the ingenious khettara irrigation system that has sustained life in this region for centuries.

We will also spend time with members of the local community, offering an opportunity for meaningful cultural exchange and a glimpse into everyday life in the oasis. A visit with a local family provides the chance to learn more about the traditions, hospitality, and rhythms of life in southeastern Morocco.

Enjoy a home-hosted lunch with a local family in Aoufous, where we will experience the warmth of Moroccan hospitality and the flavors of the region. Our meal features Medfouna, often referred to as the "Berber pizza," a specialty of southeastern Morocco.

More than a meal, this gathering offers an opportunity to slow down, share stories, and gain insight into daily life in the oasis communities of the Ziz Valley.

2:30 PM ~ Gnawa Living Room Concert

Our journey continues to the village of Khamlia, home to a community whose ancestors came to Morocco from sub-Saharan Africa and whose rich cultural traditions have given rise to the distinctive sounds of Gnawa music.

Here, we will be welcomed into the home of local musicians for an intimate 45-minute performance, followed by an opportunity for conversation and questions. More than a concert, this experience offers insight into the history, spirituality, and cultural heritage of the Gnawa tradition, whose hypnotic rhythms and songs have been passed down through generations.

This special encounter provides a rare opportunity to experience one of Morocco's most unique musical traditions in the place where it continues to thrive.

Luggage will be transferred separately by 4×4 vehicle to the desert camp Continue by bus to the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes.

5:30 PM ~ Sunset Camel Ride to Desert Camp

In the late afternoon, we make our way into the Sahara aboard camels, following ancient caravan routes across the dunes toward our luxury desert camp. As the light changes and the colors of the sand shift with the setting sun, we experience one of Morocco's most iconic landscapes in a timeless and unforgettable way.

Our home for the evening is a comfortable desert camp, where modern amenities blend with the tranquility and beauty of the Sahara.

Please note that departure times may vary slightly depending on sunset conditions.

TODRA GORGE & DADES CANYONS

If you are an early riser, feel free to wake up very early to enjoy the sunrise over the Sahara! Enjoy breakfast from 7:30 AM before we depart for the Todra Gorges.

9:00 AM ~ Depart for Todra Gorge and Travel to Dades

After checking out of our desert camp, we will depart the dunes by 4×4 vehicles and return to the meeting point in Merzouga, where we will rejoin our motorcoach. From there, we continue our journey through southern Morocco toward the dramatic Todra Gorge and the beautiful Dades Valley.

10:30 AM ~ Fossil Workshop Visit

Before continuing toward Todra Gorge, we will stop at a local fossil workshop to explore the remarkable geological history of the Erfoud region, which was once covered by an ancient sea teeming with marine life.

During our visit, we will encounter trilobites, ammonites, crinoids, and other prehistoric specimens discovered in the area. A specialist will explain the region's geological past and demonstrate the techniques used to prepare and preserve these extraordinary fossils, offering a fascinating glimpse into a world that existed hundreds of millions of years ago.

Departing the fossil workshop, we continue our scenic journey toward the Todra region. Along the way, we travel through pre-Saharan landscapes dotted with small villages, date palms, and striking rock formations, offering a glimpse into the diverse beauty of southern Morocco.

2:30 PM ~ Continue to Todra Gorge and Dades Valley

After lunch, we continue our journey to the spectacular Todra Gorge, one of Morocco's most dramatic natural wonders. Upon arrival, we will enjoy a guided visit and a leisurely walk through the canyon, with time to appreciate the towering limestone cliffs carved by the Todra River over countless centuries.

From there, we continue into the scenic Dades Valley, renowned for its striking rock formations, fertile oasis landscapes, and traditional kasbahs.

By day's end, we arrive in Marrakesh, Morocco's vibrant "Red City," where centuries of history, culture, and commerce continue to converge.

This morning, we begin our journey westward through the Valley of Roses and the pre-Saharan foothills. Along the way, we travel through landscapes shaped by oasis agriculture, historic trade routes, and the enduring traditions of Amazigh communities that have called this region home for centuries.

9:00 AM ~ Kelaa M'Gouna: Discovering Morocco's Rose Valley

Our journey takes us to Kelaa M'Gouna, Morocco's celebrated rose-growing region, where the fragrant Damask rose has been cultivated for generations. Here, we will learn about traditional distillation methods, the challenges and ingenuity of farming in a semi-arid environment, and the important role local cooperatives play in the region's economy.

During our visit to a local cooperative, guests will have the opportunity to observe the production process and meet some of the women whose craftsmanship helps sustain this important tradition. We will also learn about the annual Rose Festival, which celebrates the cultural heritage and agricultural rhythms of the valley.

9:30 am ~ Architecture of Ouarzazate

Pause near Kasbah Taourirt, once the residence of the powerful Glaoui family and one of the finest examples of southern Moroccan kasbah architecture. This is a brief exterior stop for photography and historical explanation (no interior visit). Learning focus: The political role of the Glaoui dynasty, key features of kasbah architecture, Ouarzazate as the historic gateway to the desert (approx. 15–20 minutes).

Arriving at the ancient ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, we will enjoy lunch at a carefully selected local restaurant (lunch on your own) before setting out to explore this remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Site. This pause offers an opportunity to relax and take in the surroundings before our afternoon walk through one of Morocco's most iconic fortified villages.

Following our visit to the women's cooperative, we continue our journey westward, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n'Tichka Pass. Along the way, we travel through dramatic mountain landscapes and villages that have connected the Sahara and the imperial cities for centuries.

By evening, we arrive in Marrakesh, one of Morocco's four Imperial Cities and a vibrant crossroads of history, culture, and commerce.

2:00 PM ~ Visit a Women's Rug Cooperative

This afternoon, we visit a local women's cooperative to learn about the rich traditions of Amazigh weaving and the artistry behind Morocco's renowned carpets. Members of the cooperative will share insights into the symbolism, techniques, and cultural significance of their work, offering a glimpse into a craft that has been passed down through generations.

6:30 PM ~ Check In to the Hotel

Upon arrival in Marrakesh, we check in to 2Ciels Boutique Hotel & Spa, our home for the next two nights. Ideally located in the heart of the city, the hotel offers easy access to many of Marrakesh's most celebrated sites, including the famed Jemaa el-Fnaa Square.

Located in the heart of the medina and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the square comes alive in the evening with food stalls, musicians, storytellers, and an ever-changing cast of performers.

DAY 9: | TUESDAY JUNE 15

THE RED CITY

9:30 am ~ Majorelle Garden

Created in the 1920s by French painter Jacques Majorelle and later restored by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé, this iconic garden is one of Marrakesh’s most beloved cultural landmarks. A tranquil oasis amid the city’s energy, it features striking Majorelle Blue architecture, tranquil fountains, and rare plant species from around the world. The garden also reflects the layered history of art, colonial-era design, and contemporary Moroccan cultural preservation.

11:00 AM~ Tour of Marrakesh by bus and foot

After breakfast, we will explore the “Red City” of Marrakesh. Visit the restored 16th-century Saadian Tombs, where you will learn about the Saadian dynasty, and learn about funerary art, Zellige, and carved plaster. These tombs were rediscovered in 1917. Then we’ll see the Bahia Palace, a late 19th-century palace built and expanded in two main phases for two successive grand viziers of the sultan. Its name, which means "brilliance" in Arabic, honors one of its owner's favorite wives. The guide will also discuss the Andalusian-Moroccan designs and influences. Then, we will have a guided walking tour through the vibrant souks. We will visit a traditional Herbal homeopathic pharmacy for approximately 30 minutes, where you will learn how Moroccans combine Western medicine with natural local medicinal plants. You can purchase cooking spices and other herbal medicines at the pharmacy.

We will walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, where you will experience the sights and smells of Marrakesh. You will see the famous snake charmers, vendors with souvenirs, and many traditional Moroccan items. Then we will make our way to the Koutoubia Mosque and stop for coffee.

Enjoy a hands-on culinary experience in Marrakesh at La Maison Arabe, where you’ll learn traditional Moroccan cooking techniques from a local chef. Relaxed, soulful, and endlessly inspiring, Essaouira offers a different side of Morocco—one rooted in creativity, coexistence, and coastal charm.

Depart on walking tour through Essaouira. Slow down and experience the rhythm of this historic Atlantic coastal city at a more intimate pace. As we wander through the UNESCO-listed medina, we’ll pass whitewashed walls and blue shutters, bustling artisan workshops, colorful fishing boats, spice shops, hidden alleyways, and seaside cafés filled with the sounds of daily life. Along the way, we’ll explore the layered cultural influences that have shaped Essaouira for centuries—Amazigh, Arab, Jewish, African, and European—while discovering why this relaxed and artistic city has long inspired musicians, writers, and travelers from around the world.

After breakfast, we will depart and make our way to Casablanca.

7:45 am ~ Depart for Casablanca

After breakfast, we will take our last bus ride together to Casablanca, which will be around 5 hours. We will stop for lunch on your own at noon.

3:00 pm ~ Casablanca: a church, a temple, and a mosque

Upon arrival in Casablanca, we will begin with a visit to the Church of Notre-Dame de Lourdes, a modernist Roman Catholic church built in 1954 by architect Achille Dangleterre and engineer Gaston Zimmer, known for its striking design and stained glass.

We will then visit Temple Beth-El, an Orthodox synagogue often considered the centerpiece of Casablanca’s once-vibrant Jewish community. While the city is home to more than 30 synagogues, Beth-El stands out for its Marc Chagall–inspired stained glass windows and artistic details, all carefully restored in 1997.

Our day concludes with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque, one of the most recognizable landmarks in Morocco. An extraordinary blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern engineering, its towering minaret rises dramatically above the Atlantic coast, making it a defining symbol of Casablanca’s skyline.

5:00 pm ~ Check in to the Hotel

We will check into the hotel where you will have time to settle in before our Farewell Dinner. Located in the heart of Casablanca, Barceló Anfa Casablanca is a stylish Art Deco–inspired hotel offering modern comfort in Morocco’s economic and cultural center. With elegant rooms, a spa, fitness center, restaurant, and a rooftop terrace with an outdoor pool, the hotel provides a refined stay just moments from key landmarks, shopping areas, and the historic Jewish quarter.

Celebrate our journey with a final dinner party in nostalgic Hollywood style. Rick’s Cafe, the mythical saloon from the 1942 film, Casablanca, is filled with architectural and decorative details reminiscent of the film: curved arches, a sculpted bar, balconies, balustrades as well as dramatic beaded and stenciled brass lighting and plants that cast luminous shadows on white walls. The piano bar restaurant, features Issam, a pianist from Rabat, who provides the soundtrack to the sophisticated surroundings. Exchange contacts, and bid farewell to your new friends in our final celebration together.
